I feel proud of myself for making time to post in a few weeks streak. It just means one thing. I focus on gratitude for weeks now. What a great feeling.

This week, I am thankful for:

  1. The beautiful mountain views in my city, just over ten minutes drive.
  2. 60-degree mornings, so the hike felt very refreshing.
  3. The energy to rise early and avoid the crowd.
  4. My dog joining me in the otherwise solitary walk.
  5. The effect of going outdoors has on me--wonderful happy feeling.
  6. Calories used for exercising.
  7. Days off to enjoy life outside work.
  8. Coffee to keep me going on my workdays in the hospital.
  9. My son adulting. He paid for his two old tickets!
  10. Apps to motivate me and lose a few pounds.

  2. So glad you could join in again this week; it's always good to see you! There's nothing quite like a nice walk in a beautiful location. (And adult children "adulting" is so wonderful!)

Because of the stay at home order, and non-essential business closing, I could not go to the salon. Thanks to the great outdoors, however cold. I could walk and breathe fresh air, and be able to distance myself more than 6-feet away from everyone.

Six Sentence Story: Green Coat

He tore my green, soft, favorite coat, the one I wore so much.
I felt I was not the one he wanted me to be, not anymore.
All good things must come to an end, or should it be just the bad?
Clutching my torn coat and shutting the door in front of him, tears shed from my burning eyes. I said goodbye.

It is his loss, not mine.

COVID-19 Season

After going back and forth with events cancellation, we went ahead and did the Wellness Challenge Kick-Off for 2020. We are a group of 25ish not 250 crowd. It is part of our fundraising, so it is important to us. We had a good time raising money, collecting from participants for the challenge to benefit nursing student scholars. I feel grateful for the smooth event.
Here is the rest of my thankfuls. There are probably 100 of us, too many. This Group-Me texting works smoothly. I named it St Joseph Intensive Care on my phone not realizing I changed it for the whole group. Nobody complained to the so-techy me though.
